WRIGHT, Johnston & Mackenzie has become the latest law firm to pick up staff from McClure Naismith.

McClure went into administration last week but around 80 of its employees have already been snapped up or are in negotiations with other firms. Administrators from FRP have made 42 people redundant.

WJM said it was taking Colin Millar, head of the McClure corporate finance team, commercial property partner Stewart King, private client associate Julie Terrey and corporate assistant Stephen Grant.

Separately, Burness Paull has also revealed the identities of the three partners it has taken from the McClure property team.

Steve Scott, Bob Binning and Colin Brown will be bringing across clients including pension funds, Valvona & Crolla, Papa John’s and Sojourn Hotels.

Mr Scott said: "My team and I are very excited about the new possibilities which Burness Paull will bring us. The reaction that we have had from our many clients, as news of our move has reached them, has been uniformly positive and supportive.”

Former McClure staff are also joining Maclay, Murray & Spens, Harper McLeod, Morton Fraser and HBJ Gateley.
