Lyon & Turnbull, the auctioneers, saw shareholder funds rise from £2.16m to £2.47m last year, according to short accounts just filed at Companies House. The Edinburgh-based business, founded in 1826 and revived in 1999 in a deal backed by board member Sir Angus Grossart, saw over £315,000 added to the profit and loss account, around five times the gain of two years earlier.
