The Virgin Money Street of Light, launched to coincide with St Andrew's Day runs until Christmas Eve along the Royal Mile from the City Chambers to the Tron Kirk.
People will enter the stunning canopy of light, rising up to 62 ft high where they can listen to specially commissioned recordings from choirs from across Edinburgh. They are synchronised to the lights.
The show lasts 20 minutes. After the first show the lights are switched off in readiness for the evening show at 8.15pm. After this show the lights will remain on until midnight.
