POLICE searching for a young motorist who vanished after a fireball crash have found a body.
Jamie Donnelly, 29, was last seen in Greenock on Saturday.
He was believed to have been involved in a car crash, which saw his vehicle catch on fire.
Police confirmed a body of a man believed to be Jamie was found at 1pm on Monday in the Greenock area.
A police spokesman said: "At around 1pm on Monday February 8, the body of a man was discovered in Greenock.
"Although formal identification has still to take place, police believe that it is Jamie Donnelly, who had been missing from his home in Greenock since Saturday February 6.
"Relatives have been informed and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
