Murdered bodybuilder Mr Scotland was due to get married in just a few weeks.

But Eileen Kirkwood, the devastated fiancee of Michael O'Hanlon, who was stabbed to death in broad daylight at an Ayrshire industrial estate on Monday, revealed she would still be changing her name.

In a Facebook post on the page for the bodybuilding shops they ran together in Glasgow and Falkirk, Eileen said she was due to marry Michael on August 15.

She said: "Am way to identify my partners and soul mates body as most you know his life was cruelly taken yesterday.

"To let people know the O'Hanlon name and both business will remain. I and Michaels family and close business friends will make sure of that.

"I will stay strong for my man and although we didn't get to make our wedding day on the 15th Aug my name will still change to O'Hanlon."

A friend of Eileen's had written a message earlier this month which was also shared on the Musclebox O'Hanlon page, where she gushed about being asked to give Eileen away at the wedding.

She also revealed it was set to take place at a Scottish castle.

The post said: "I am so happy to see her happy and I know she is making the best decision ever.

"Never have I seen a more perfect couple than Michael and Eileen.

"Now the secret is out the bag about the wedding I can be proud as punch about being part of this weekend.

"I am still laughing at the fact we are both going to be looking like ladies in a beautiful private Scottish castle."

And in a now tragic reply, Eileen wrote about her excitement for the months ahead.

She said: "Getting married to my amazing man so many good things ahead of us. Buzzing for new shop opening. It's been a crazy few months, all highs no lows would not change a thing.

"Thank you for all your help organising the wedding which left us to deal with the new shop.

"Everyone that we need and love will be there on mine and Michaels special day.
