WITH the price of oil having dropped substantially, why are we still paying more than £1.20 per litre? I can remember, some years ago, when it reached this sum the haulage industry blocked the refineries.

Have we become complacent to being ripped off?

Even in a semi-dysfunctional South Africa, when the Brent Crude price drops, within a week to 10 days, the price drops and vice versa when it goes up.

At present the pump price down there is about £0.80 per litre.

Why do we accept this extortion and why the delay in passing on the lower price to the public?

Could our 56 SNP MPs get their teeth into this one?
