WHILE not a Muslim myself, I will defend the peacemakers in that faith to the end. Their poetry, their philosophy when lived, is every bit as beautiful as any to have ever been written or thought. There are many people professing to be Christian or agnostics who could benefit from reading some Islamic literature, if only to realise that there are no differences between our objectives as human beings: to live together in peace, harmony and mutual co-operation. Anything over and beyond that is shared ecstasy.
