GLASGOW has been at the height of its beauty in the spring sunshine of late. I have simply had to stand transfixed by the colourful multi-coloured spirals of litter being whipped skywards by capricious zephyrs. It must take ages to festoon the verges and roadside hedges with garlands of detritus that most other cultures would thoughtlessly consign to litter bins. Funny that even our close neighbours in Bearsden and Milngavie appear to shun this form of public art. I suppose it’s a legacy of being a former City of Culture.
