OUSTED Livingston chairman Gordon McDougall has been told he is banned from entering Almondvale stadium.

It is understood the current board have taken the extraordinary step of issuing the respected McDougall with a letter that states he is no longer welcome at the club.

News of the troubled club's hardline stance with McDougall comes in the wake of main sponsor Energy Assets severing all ties with Livingston due their concerns over the way the club is being run.

McDougall was voted from his position at a board meeting last Monday evening after he started legal proceedings to recover money due to him from the West Lothian outfit.

Livingston had initially agreed to pay back McDougall just over £2,000 each month as part of the £260,000 that he loaned the club. McDougall claims he has not been paid for nearly six months.

The Almondvale side meanwhile, have been plunged into a logistical nightmare after Energy Assets pulled the plug on their sponsorship agreement one year early.

The Livingston-based company want their named removed from both the strips, which have been on sale to fans, and stadium after becoming concerned about the bad publicity plaguing the club.

As well as McDougall's situation, Livingston have also been condemned for allowing Declan Gallagher training facilities while the defender appeals his conviction and sentence over an assault using a baseball bat.

Confirming their sponsor's decision to pull out of the agreement, a Livingston statement read: "The club wishes to thank Energy Assets for its financial support, and Energy Assets hope this will provide the football club with an opportunity to benefit financially through additional sponsorship.

"The club recognises the disappointment at this move to seek a new sponsor and will work with fans who have bought the strip."
