Dave Cormack has vowed he won't walk away from Aberdeen amid a horrendous run of form.

The Pittodrie chairman insisted "we'll get this right" as he addressed supporter concerns on social media.

Cormack - who was in Paisley for the late loss against St Mirren - conceded league form has been "awful and baffling" as he ached over the "sickening" latest league defeat.

Aberdeen last won in the league on January 2 and have since played ten, with five draws and five losses. The club sits tenth in the Scottish Premiership, four points above Ross County in the play-off spot.

The club chairman accepted criticism of himself and chief executive Alan Burrows' social media usage but stated the pair could never discuss employees - including players or coaches -  without fear of impacting morale.

On X, formerly Twitter, Cormack posted: "Dons fans - @Alan_Burrows and I totally get your frustration. That was sickening to watch at the end in injury time today.

"The criticism that we are only on here when things are going well is fair, but that’s mainly because we cannot answer questions about our employees, like our players and coaches, or discuss detailed concerns which could impact morale.

"Contrasting our play in Europe, only 10 weeks ago beating Eintracht Frankfurt, and reaching the Scottish League Cup Final, our league form with the same squad has been awful and baffling.

"The support and backing including today, with 1,000 singing from start to finish, has been brilliant. We too kick every ball and go through all the emotional highs and lows watching the team. We know it’s hard going right now, but I can assure you we don’t do walking away and we’ll get this right."

Aberdeen interim boss Neil Warnock blasted VAR as a "disgrace" after St Mirren scored a penalty in stoppage time after a lengthy delay before then netting a late winner.

He said: “VAR is a disgrace, isn't it. How can you wait on a freezing afternoon for four or five minutes?

"I thought he gave a free-kick to us at first when he gave it."
