MICHAEL BEALE insists there is 'no news' on the future of Rangers star Ryan Kent after he was linked with a move to Premier League-bound Burnley.

The winger is in the final weeks of his Ibrox contract and is free to discuss a Bosman move that will see Rangers miss out on a fee if he chooses to head for the exit door this summer.

Clarets boss Vincent Kompany has been credited with an interest in Kent but Beale is comfortable with the situation and his relationship with the former Liverpool starlet.

"I think they're under an embargo at the moment," Beale said when asked about the Burnley links. "So I don’t know whether that's going to be lifted or not.

"I don't know anything about that but me and Ryan see each other every day. We're fine with where we’re at at the moment.

"There's no news on Ryan's future and when there is, I'm sure it will be announced officially. There's going to be a lot of rumours because he's a player out of contract and he's a good player.

"It's not a matter of persuading, it's a matter of having a conversation and making sure we're on the same page, so it's not a matter of persuading."

The futures of several Rangers stars remain up for debate ahead of a crucial window that will see Beale put his stamp on the squad he inherited from Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

The Englishman has hinted that Allan McGregor and Alfredo Morelos are poised to bring an end to their respective Rangers careers in the coming weeks.

But supporters remain in the dark over the situation with Kent as he prepares to return to action for the Scottish Cup semi-final with Celtic next Sunday.

Beale said: “There’s a moment to reveal what’s going to happen and as much as I’d like to tell you everything, I have to keep a bit back. Ryan’s personal stuff is in that as well.

"Every time he plays he gives me everything the’s got and we have a fantastic relationship going back 10 years so we’re on the same page.”
