St Johnstone defender Ryan McGowan has lifted the lid on an incident against Rangers that left him with a hole in his boot.
The Australian swung for the ball as he attempted to keep the pressure on the visitors after a St Johnstone attack.
However, the 34-year-old's foot connected with Rangers defender Connor Goldson instead of the ball, and the English defender was awarded a free-kick.
The impact of that collision saw Goldson's stud pierce McGowan's boot, leaving him with a nasty gash at the top of his foot which ruled him out of the 2-0 loss at St Mirren.
He required stitches as a result of the incident, with his right boot left with a hole in it.
Ahead of tonight's vital game at Aberdeen, the former Hearts player revealed the scar on his footwear, insisting he won't be throwing them out despite the damage.
He said: “I got the stitches out today. There might be a few winces of pain but I’m sure I’ll get through (the Aberdeen game) fine.
“We’re not in a position to be worried about things like that. I got a hole in my boot from the incident – that will help relieve the pressure on it. I like those boots so I don’t want to throw them out, anyway.”

Meanwhile, Kris Boyd took aim at the Scottish FA last night after St Mirren were denied what he felt was a clear penalty against Ross County.
The Rangers hero quipped that Buddies boss Stephen Robinson will be 'buzzing' in a few weeks when the SFA admits an error was made by the on-field officials, and VAR for missing the flashpoint.
As the game headed for half-time, a long ball from St Mirren goalkeeper Zach Hemming appeared to be handled by County's Ryan Leak inside his own area.
